No introduction necessary for this tall, striking, country-gospel singer! Folks far-and-wide are familiar with the powerful voice and passionate presentation of Guy Penrod. And this fall, Guy returns to Minneapolis St. Paul.
Born in Abilene, Texas, the son of a preacher, Guy Penrod grew up in church with a desire to somehow impact the world. “I learned pretty early in life that music was a good vehicle for me.” This proved to be true. Today, Guy is a nationally-acclaimed, award-winning vocalist, known for his unmistakable, rasp-tinged vocals. He’s one of the most popular artists featured on the Gaither Homecoming Video Series, and spent 14 years as the lead singer of the Gaither Vocal band before launching a successful solo ministry in 2010.
“Unity within the family of God is at the center of His heart,” explains the 2015 GMA DOVE Award nominee. “I believe that music encourages us as believers to come together around the person of Jesus. In my concerts we praise God using hymns and worship songs that everyone knows, weaving them together throughout the evening. I love seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they join in.”

Our Venue
Celebration Church in Lakeville, Minnesota, was made for events like this! It was founded in 1996 by well-known evangelical pastor and musician Lowell Lundstrom. Under his leadership, Celebration Church hosted annual, “Country Christmas” shows for many years, which actually became a popular seasonal destination for tourists from around the country. In April, at our Booth Brothers concert, Lowell’s brother, Leon, who attended, was thrilled to see a to-capacity crowd once again in the big auditorium — and the Booth Brothers were thrilled with the facility. Right on target!
