This ensemble of 14 dedicated musicians began in 1998 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, singing for church services. In 2004, they officially began their journey as Gloryland Gospel Band.
“Our mission is to bring back the memories of the old hymns, comforting and familiar, enhanced by the joy they bring, and deliver heart-warming smiles to the faces of those we perform for,” said Mark Mosior, the band’s leader, in an interview with Eden Prairie News prior to their performance at the 14th Annual Government Expo at the Mall of America in 2013.
Their repertoire is a mixture of Elvis gospel tunes, Gaither gospel family songs, traditional hymns, and even some original pieces written by one of their own band members, Scotty Johnson.
They sing for churches, singles groups, senior communities — anywhere they’re invited within the Twin Cities metro. Gloryland Gospel Band delivers toe-tapping messages of hope, comfort, inspiration and celebration.
